Crystal Engineering of Nutraceutical Phytosterols

A cocrystal screening conducted with a solid solution of three phytosterols (β-sitosterol, campesterol and stigmasterol) and a set of coformers with strong hydrogen bond donors reveals that multicomponent solid-solutions are preferentially formed instead of pure cocrystals and much enriched with β-sitosterol with respect to stigmasterol, a natural product with cytotoxicity concerns. You can find more […]
CIRCE Scientific’s new publication on Pterostilbene

New scientific paper published: A Novel, Extremely Bioavailable Cocrystal of Pterostilbene CIRCE Scientific has also successfully achieved another improved nutraceutical such as Pterostilbene showing a higher bioavailability with respect to previous known forms. Pterostilbene (trans-3,5-dimethoxy-4’-hydroxystilbene) is consumed as a nutraceutical since evidences suggest that pterostilbene may have preventive and therapeutic properties in a long list […]
CIRCE Scientific’s new publication on Vitamin D

New scientific paper published: “A New and Highly Stable Cocrystal of Vitamin D3 for its use in enhanced food supplements”- One of the cocrystals CIRCE Scientific has successfully discovered is a new cocrystal of Vitamin D3 (Cholecalciferol) and resorcinol. Our results show that the new cocrystal is extremely stable and it can become the basis […]
